Winter 2008-09

As the tennis season at BSM is relatively short (two months), the off-season is the time to work on fundamentals and improving your game through lessons/drills.
In addition to taking lessons and participating in drills, it cannot be emphasized enough how important it is to play in competitive situations (i.e. match play).  The more matches you can play during the off-season, the more competition-tough you will be when the season begins.  It is important that you not only work on your singles play/strategy, but your doubles play/strategy as well.  Becoming comfortable in the doubles setting will only enhance your singles play.  The work you put in over the next several months, both on and off the court, will determine your level of success.

Below you will find a link to the junior tennis tournaments in the area as well as links/contact information for the tennis clubs.  If you have any questions regarding this information do not hesitate to e-mail me at bsm_boys_tennis@yahoo.com .

The coaching staff looks forward to meeting and working with all of you and cannot wait for an enjoyable and successful season.
